Henry J. Swen 1931-2021

Henry J. (Swiatek) Swen, a Korean War Veteran, was born, raised, and educated in Connecticut, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut State University.

Henry worked at The Napier Co. for 38 years. He also served as a board member of various trade organizations for over 25 years. In 1975, he received the “Silver Beaver” award from the South Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America. Henry derived his greatest satisfaction from serving as a “Guardian ad Litem” within the Florida Court System. He spoke for the child in school, court, or wherever a child needed a knowledgeable and responsible spokesperson. Henry resided in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, for 38 years and retired with his wife Nancy on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Henry is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children, John, Suzanne, and Stephen; his stepson, Rick; seven grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Alex, Viktor, Robert, Jennifer, and Jonathan; three step-grandchildren, Shannon, Ryan, and Stephen; and several great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his stepdaughter, Kathy, and his grandson, Nathan.
