The brooches shown here exemplify the variations Napier often created around a central design element. The first piece features a circular disk and glass-stone inset with an Asian-inspired metal disk. A variation of this piece featured the addition of a pierced metalwork plaque suspending dangles. A complementing charm bracelet was also part of this collection. After 22 years of studying Napier jewelry, we have not seen matching earrings or a necklace, which speaks to the rarity of specific pieces. #napierjewelry #napierhistory #napierbrooch #thenapierbook

This fabulous c. 1950s horseshoe-shaped brooch features faux turquoise matrix cabochons flanked by faux pearls. The dog-tooth setting and crimped stone cups resemble those often seen on Schreiner. The piece measures 3 1/2″ t.l. x 2 7/8″ w. #napierjewelry #napierhistory #napier1950sjewelry #napierboutiquejewelry #thenapierbook

This lovely Napier moonglow brooch matches the necklace and earring set on page 272 of The Napier Co.: Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry. The necklace was featured in “The Charleston Daily” November 16, 1955. It was also available in silver-plate with blue moonglow cabochons.

This brooch is a lovely vintage c. 1950s Napier mesh flower … or perhaps a sea anemone. It reminds me of the Belle of Barmera giant dinner plate dahlia–a large bigger-than-life flower. The piece measures 5″ when spread flat.
