We’ve probably posted this before, but it’s well worth repeating. These are early hard enamel vinaigrettes and tablets. We’ve not had the good fortune of seeing these in person, but we would be over the moon should we find one.from The Napier Book https://ift.tt/MGdraxw
Presented here are some E. A. Bliss renderings from 1910-1912. Bliss hair comes are very difficult to find. The company enjoyed a robust business in hair combs throughout the country.from The Napier Book https://ift.tt/a8j04PA
Through the years, a fun part of our research has been researching articles that were a part of the Napier archive from which designers drew inspiration for new lines. These earrings were part of the Napier archive. We have always believed them to be Italian. Recent studies have collaborated with that hypothesis.
Gabriella Mode of Rome designed these “Pill Box” earrings. The earrings, plated in 18kt gold, unscrew at the top to hold pills or other small objects. The earrings were originally on display at the Excelsior Hotel in Rome during the summer of 1958.
We’ve not seen an exact Napier earring equivalent and would love to see your pieces. In terms of vessel-like items, we know of the Napier “Good Luck Pig” sterling pig charm that opens at the hinge or other perfume vessels. What other designs might be out there?from The Napier Book https://ift.tt/J0m7TVZ
Flowers are favorite at The Napier Book. We love this grouping using similar construction and material. #springflowers #napierbook #jewelry #jewelryhistory #flowerbrooch #thejewelrystylistfrom The Napier Book https://ift.tt/CtoG74F
Lovely c. late 1960s pendant necklace featuring a lion over opposing spade plaques suspended by a very detailed link chain. The flower links of the chain are also incorporated in the pendant creating this tri-level pendant. Each side of the link chain (including clasp) measures 14″. Truly a remarkable piece! We believe this piece is a personal ashtray but we prefer to use it to hold our Napier rings. Sterling swan. #napiergiftware #napierhistory #napierbook #thejewelrystylist #napiercostumeringsfrom The Napier Book https://ift.tt/6kQBVEv

It reads, “Hibiscus Blossoms” “Floral beauty captures forever in a pin and matching earclips by Napier. This loveliness will always be in season. Gold plated sterling silver.” “Pin $12.50, Earclips $18.00″from The Napier Book https://ift.tt/uo3yi7W
In addition to the translucent enamels Napier produced in the late 1960s, the company created a series of plique-à-jour designs. We don’t see many of these on the secondary market. Perhaps because of the delicate nature of the construction and design. This lovely bracelet has a stained window effect. The green enamel creates a floral design, while the center red enamel ties the inner structure with the shape of the individual plaques of pierced metalwork. #napierjewelryhistory #napierjewelry #thenapierbook #thejewelrystylistfrom The Napier Book https://ift.tt/7HBemf0
