This fabulous c. 1950s horseshoe-shaped brooch features faux turquoise matrix cabochons flanked by faux pearls. The dog-tooth setting and crimped stone cups resemble those often seen on Schreiner. The brooches shown here exemplify the variations Napier often created around a central design element. The first piece features a circular disk and glass-stone inset with an Asian-inspired metal disk. A variation of this piece featured the addition of a pierced metalwork plaque suspending dangles. A complementing charm bracelet was also part of this collection. After 22 years of studying Napier jewelry, we have not seen matching earrings or a necklace, which speaks to the rarity of specific pieces. #napierjewelry #napierhistory #napierbrooch #thenapierbook

Another 1985 favorite was the “Spectator Brights Collection”! Big hair, bright colors, and layers of baubles! From collar necklaces to bulky bangles and large geometric shape earrings, there was much fun to be had with this collection. (Note Black and white bangle was not part of the “Spectator Brights” collection but was part of the “Spectator Collection.”)

These 1960s chandelier earrings feature Mother-of-pearl beads accented with elongated bicone aurora borealis crystal beads. Each drop is accented with a contrasting black seed bead to add dimension to the design. Do you have matching pieces? We believe we’ve seen a charm bracelet and would love to see other parts of the collection.

We love the statement pins by Napier! This massive curled feather pin is part of the “Feather Collection” featured on page 408 of The Napier Co.: Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry. Napier tended to create a “stand-out” piece for the woman who wanted to make a fashionable statement with a little more panache within any particular collection. This pin is a beautiful example of a tailored piece featured in a grand manner. It measures 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ w.

Resins were an essential part of jewelry fashion during the 1980s, and the “Frosted Sherbert Collection” of 1985 was no exception. Here we show both the “Frosted Sherbert Collection” paired with the “Tinted Pearl Collection” to demonstrate how collections could build upon each other and encourage greater sales. The color palettes overlapped, making it easy for the wearer to expand her look.

Fill-in Necklace By Napier This is a fun filigree “fill-in” necklace by Napier that dates c. 1950s to the early 1960s. This twisted chain and bead motif was used virtually every decade from the 1950s to the 1980s. It was a timeless design that could complement any tailored collection by changing the bead color and size with different chain styles, including link and mesh chain. The clips on the clip-back earrings are seen more during the 1950s, with a few designs utilizing this clip in the 1960s.
