What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, BEAUTIFUL PROFIT LLC ) are called “first party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third party cookies”. Third party cookies enable third party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g. like advertising, interactive content and analytics). The parties that set these third party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
Why do we use cookies?
We use first and third party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Websites to operate, and we refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties serve cookies through our Websites for advertising, analytics and other purposes. This is described in more detail below.

The specific types of first and third party cookies served through our Websites and the purposes they perform are described below (please note that the specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific Online Properties you visit):
How can I control cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie rights by setting your preferences in the Cookie Consent Manager. The Cookie Consent Manager allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.

The Cookie Consent Manager can be found in the notification banner and on our website. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our website though your access to some functionality and areas of our website may be restricted. You may also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information.

In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. If you would like to find out more information, please visit http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or http://www.youronlinechoices.com.

What about other tracking technologies, like web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail including them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within a website to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to the website from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

Please note that setting the Flash Player to restrict or limit acceptance of Flash Cookies may reduce or impede the functionality of some Flash applications, including, potentially, Flash applications used in connection with our services or online content.
Do you serve targeted advertising?

Third parties may serve cookies on your computer or mobile device to serve advertising through our Websites. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services that you may be interested in. They may also employ technology that is used to measure the effectiveness of advertisements. This can be accomplished by them using cookies or web beacons to collect information about your visits to this and other sites in order to provide relevant advertisements about goods and services of potential interest to you. The information collected through this process does not enable us or them to identify your name, contact details or other details that directly identify you unless you choose to provide these.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.

Order Processing Errors

From time to time, a user may experience an order error on the screen which looks like the first image below. Most often, this is because there is a miscommunication with PayPal and the shopping cart to return to the checkout/order received page. Should you receive this notice, please log on to YOUR PayPal account to verify the charge. If you do not see a charge, please contact us regarding your order.  To date, we have seen all payments completely process on the vendor side via PayPal despite the failure to return to the checkout/order received page. You will receive from us a confirmation notice when we have processed your shipping label.

UPDATE: The order error occurs with both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Once an order is complete, these browsers fail to display the order confirmation. Please copy and paste the URL displayed on the page stating, “This site can’t be reach” (Chrome) or “Hmmm … Can’t reach this page” (Microsoft Edge) and put the URL into Firefox. Your order confirmation should display.  We apologize for this error and have yet to come up with a workaround. This seems to be a known error that is unresolved.

Proper Order Checkout

Why is my order still pending?

Why is my order still pending?

Until a shipping label has been generated, The Napier Book will keep all orders in a pending state.  Because we manually change all orders from “pending” to “complete” please allow up to 24 hours for the status of your order to change. In most cases we, shipping labels are generated within the first 12 hours post order-placement.

Why was my order cancelled-over sold items.

Why was my order cancelled?

All of our items in our inventory are “one-of-a-kind.” Some of those items are cross-posted on various selling platforms and may get sold out before we can adjust the inventory level on this website. Please note there is the slight chance of an item being over sold. Should this situation occur, the party to make the purchase first will be honored. Any subsequent sale of the same product will be refunded to the second buyer. We understand this is not ideal, and have yet to find a workaround. We appreciate your understanding and will do everything to make sure you find something in our inventory.

Shipping Expenses

Product Shipping Expenses

Books
Shipping expenses for the book are calculated for the continental U.S. only. Books are shipped individually via Flat Rate Medium Priority Mail and cannot be combined with other jewelry purchases. If you would like to purchase a book and have it shipped outside the United States, please write us for purchase information. For our European customers, we are no longer shipping books to the EU. However, arrangements can be made to purchase through eBay utilizing eBay’s International or Global shipping programs.

Jewelry Shipping Costs
All jewelry shipping fees for this website is calculated for Small Flat Rate Priority Mail with tracking and insurance. The shipping fee for a single jewelry item is $8.00. Each additional jewelry item purchase per order is charged at the rate of $4.00 per item. In instances where the shipping fee exceeds the actual cost by $2.00, we will refund the difference back to the customer.  In some instances, it may be possible to ship First Class (U.S. Only) with insurance  and tracking for multiple items.  Please email us for a First Class combined-shipping quote.

International Shipping
EFFECTIVE 3/1/2023 we no longer ship to EU countries. We certainly apologize to our customers. If an EU country order goes through, we reserve the right to cancel. For our non-EU international customer we offer Flat Rate International shipping using the Flat Rate Packaging supplies by the USPS. Shipping fees are based on the item classification, weight and size. If an item has been sold with an incorrect shipping method, we reserve the right to cancel the order. Conversely, orders where the shipping fee collected exceeds the actual cost by $2.00, we will refund the buyer the excess.  Shipping fees constitute the cost of shipping, insurance or other signature requirements for buyer and seller protection. Currently, the USPS is charging approximately $89.00 to ship a book to Europe and $43.00 to mail a piece of jewelry (small flat rate box) to Europe via  flat rate International mail. Please note that insurance is not available for International First Class shipping.
