We’ve covered part of this collection before. Napier introduced this design in 1946 as part of the “Garden of Gold” collection. Over the years, Napier advertised the grouping as having a 12k gold plate over sterling, and later in 1951, it was designed with a 24k gold plate over sterling. The varied purities of the gold plate probably account for the different appearances of these pieces. Examples of this collection are shown on page 204.
