Lovely c. late 1960s pendant necklace featuring a lion over opposing spade plaques suspended by a very detailed link chain. The flower links of the chain are also incorporated in the pendant creating this tri-level pendant. Each side of the link chain (including clasp) measures 14″. Truly a remarkable piece! Large pendant necklaces remained in the Napier lineup in the late 1960s to early 1970s. The stampings incorporated in this design were used during earlier periods of Napier’s history. Designers often utilized and reworked old dies and stampings to create fresh looks. This piece is a great example of that practice.
