This is a beautiful early 20th century Bliss dance purse. It has a brass Art Nouveau open metalwork design on the front and two arms in the interior to hold items (dance cards) in place. Marked “German Silver” and the E. A. Bliss trademark. These early purses are quite extraordinary and to have a celluloid one is quite fabulous. We offer personal thanks our friend who made this possible for us to share!

We love the clean lines of this piece. Part of the “Glaxy” collection. This beautiful piece retailed for $100.00. Matching earrings and bracelet were available. (Silver only)

Fill-in Necklace By Napier This is a fun filigree “fill-in” necklace by Napier that dates c. 1950s to the early 1960s. This twisted chain and bead motif was used virtually every decade from the 1950s to the 1980s. It was a timeless design that could complement any tailored collection by changing the bead color and size with different chain styles, including link and mesh chain. The clips on the clip-back earrings are seen more during the 1950s, with a few designs utilizing this clip in the 1960s.
